Coyote Engine Lift Brackets Swap Guide

The energy-loving owners of the Mustang 2005-2010 may face a dilemma if they are willing to pay for money and work in their car. They could install a premium turbocharger kit on a 4.6-liter 4-valve V8, or choose a Coyote replacement and install the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine swap , available in the 2011 Mustang.

The constant threat to the Formula Drift track, Pawlak wanted to build a decent, but respectful road layout, in addition to his famous blue-green 2014 Falken Tire racing car. His choice fell on the 2006 Mustang, which he bought for relatively little money, after brilliant exchanges involving the Jeep and the Camaro SS.

“I think it would be interesting to build a complete structure on a three valve,” says Pawlak. "But this Coyote engine is a great engine and, ultimately, the best choice."

Coyote engines are starting to appear more frequently on recycling and online advertising sites. Ford Racing Performance Parts also offers several versions of the Coyote Engine Lift Brackets body, including the improved Aluminator series. The 5.0-liter DOHC engine has already established itself in road connecting rods, the first F-100 and some copies of the Cobra, although the latter is rather narrow with large valve caps. First-generation Mustang owners also discover that shock towers require significant operations before Coyote can enter, but Fox heat exchanges have fewer problems to solve.

As always, this is a small balance between money and resources, especially with the recent platform. However, the fear of the Coyote exchange should not be taken into account when starting from the S197 chassis. The engine has the same mounting points as the 4.6L, only a few details.

Potential 675 horses

Pawlak started with a 420 horsepower base engine and added the ROUSH Booster Performance Stage 1 with an estimated output of 575 hp. and a maximum torque of 505 lb-ft. ROUSH also offers upgrades that can increase power up to 675 horsepower with a different overdrive fan pulley and more aggressive PCM calibration. The engine will be supported by a Spec clutch, a 6-speed Tremec and an 8.8-inch reinforced rear axle. The fuel will be sent from the Aeromotive A1000 transport unit installed in the storage tank. The project car also included a complete overhaul of the full support beam suspension made by the Pawlak Hot Line Performance workshop, a K BM member, individual control levers, Tech Race service connections, Feal boosts, ROUSH brakes and Falken tires, of course.

“I had a vision of a drifting Mustang,” says Pawlak, adding that construction was an opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of his store. “I felt it was time to create a team that would help me to introduce my sponsors off the track.”

The engine housing of the Coyote needed some modifications before the compressor could be installed and installed in the car. The 2006 Mustang is equipped with a power steering pump, and the 2011-2015 Mustang coyotes engine lift brackets are equipped with an electric power steering system. The Ford Racing adapter holder was installed on the right side. Pawlak also won the 2006 inaugural party.

“This was one of my problems before this project began. But then I learned that Ford Racing already had support, ”says Pawlak. "Just install the pump 05-09 on this support, and all the lines will meet."

Finally, some grinding is required to clear some of the top points of the front cover in order to prevent the compressor from working.
